Hilary Johnson, Coach (2017-2021)

“Hilary has had over 27 successful years training horses and riders in hunters, jumpers and equitation. She has taken many riders from the Short Stirrup to winning top honors in Junior Hunters, Medal Finals and even the Grand Prix ring. She teaches both horses and riders with endless patience, giving each the time they need to learn and develop at a pace that suits their individual needs. Hilary had many opportunities as a junior rider to train with talented and accomplished trainers on both coasts. She competed in jumpers, equitation, hunters, dressage and eventing. She began teaching and riding for her trainers Nancy Patton and Diane Yeager during the summers while she was still in high school.”

Diane Yeager, Coach (2010 – 2017)

Diane, an East Bay native, has been riding since she was a little girl. During her junior and amateur career, she won several medal finals and overall year end championships. While attending U.C. Berkeley, she decided to become a professional. She started assisting various top trainers in the area. After graduating from Berkeley, she decided riding was her true passion. In 1994, she decided to go out on her own and so Westhaven Farm was born. It was an instant success with her students winning several prestigious awards.
